Fitz Cahall – The Dirtbag Diaries

Fitz Cahall received a BA in journalism in 2002 from UW, and since then, has worked as a freelance outdoor writer. He has worked for a variety of publications, and his dream was to bring his journalism training to rock climbing and outdoor sports. As he realized that it was getting harder and harder to sell his stories, he decided to jump into the world of new media. Fitz launched his podcast on climbing in 2007. Although he expected a meager turnout, instead, he saw thousands of downloads, and realized that he may be on to something. After several sponsors, and successful podcasts, Fitz now has a radio show, and will soon begin a web television show. 1. This was an excellent function. The panelists offered a deep insight of what it takes to launch a start-up business. We all share an intense love, unrelenting committment, and enthusiasm for our new ventures. I hope we have the opportunity to meet again in the future, and evaluate our progress, and lessons learned.
